Using The App Offline

Inside St Helena is designed to be used offline.

Useful when an internet connection or data might not be available.

Before using offline, first pre-load any Pages you would like to access later. By opening a Page until the picture becomes visible, this loads that particular Page onto the device memory and it can then be viewed at any time later when there is no data connection.

Making Phone Calls

If you have a SIM card installed, the Phone buttons will begin the process of dialling out from your device.

The international dialling code for St Helena is: 00-290

Categories & Filters

Most Categories have additional Filter options to refine the information.

Example, click ‘GETTING AROUND’ from the Home menu. This displays a list of all transportation services.

You can scroll the menu running across the top of the display, showing Filter options for Taxi, Car Rental and Airport Transfers. Click each one to Filter the Category list to show which businesses provide the different services.

Keeping The App Content Updated

If you load Pages into the App to use later offline, this content will stay the same even if the App content itself is updated.

To check if a Page on the App has been updated, connect your device to the internet first, then open the App and navigate to the Page in question. After a second or two the Page should refresh with the latest information.

If you are using your device in a country where data access is on all the time, the App will always load the latest Page information when in use.
